The US of AMERICA

Whether one is a sophisticated, briefcase-toting Wall Street broker in New York, or a sunbaked "Zonie" from Arizona, or a laid back surfer dude from California, or a poi eating, hula dancing "native" of Hawaii -- the US of America is all of us...and blessed indeed to be living in a country founded by CHRISTian men who believed in the One True GOD.
Just in case some people have forgotten, or truly do not know that the US of America was founded by CHRISTian leaders, here's George Washington's (first president of the US of America) prayer for the nation:
Almighty GOD, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in thy holy protection, that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things, we can never hope to be a happy nation.Grant our supplications, we beseech Thee, through JESUS CHRIST, our Lord. Amen.

(Written at Newburg, June 8, 1783, and sent to the Governors of all the States.)

A Reason for Every Season

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven.
Munich, Germany Munich...

Quebec, Canada
Jardin Ceres, Quebec...

A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted;

A time to kill, a
nd a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, a
nd a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, a
nd a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to gain, a
nd a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;

A time to tear, a
nd a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, a
nd a time to hate;
A time of war, and a time of peace.
(Ecclesiastes 3:2-8)
